Moody skies, dramatic mountains and palm fringed streets! This was the recipe of Kirsty and Nick’s fantastic outdoor wedding which was held in Kirsty’s home town of Plockton. Its always a tough call for any couple to plan an outdoor wedding in the Highlands, even if it is July but maybe even more so when you have a larger gathering of family and friends who potentially could all get soaked if the heavens did decide to open. Hats off to Kirsty and Nick, they weren’t going to let a bit of rain spoil their chance of an outdoor ceremony, how could you choose otherwise when you have the perfect spot (with the most amazing views!) right next door to your parents home in their neigbours garden! The Rev Kate Atchley, (who is a minister of the interfaithfoundation) conducted a wonderful, personalised, spiritual ceremony, which was all the more enhanced with the dramatic clouds and scenery from this beautiful west coast village. Luckily the rain held off until after the drinks reception and everyone had been piped (in procession) to the marquee next to the village hall. Such a great day with such lovely people who made me feel very welcome. Thanks again Kirsty & Nick, so chuffed you chose me to shoot and share what was a brilliant day!
