Last weekend I was back at the popular Inverness wedding venue, Loch Ness Country House Hotel, for the wedding of Inverness girl Louise, who married her Irish fiancé John. Typical of the weather recently, the morning started of quite wet and grey and pretty much remained like that for the rest of the day. Luckily for me this never spoilt my chances for some great photography as the sun did manage to occasionally break through the clouds, which I took full advantage of whenever I could. The days photography started with Louise, her mum and bridesmaid returning to the hotel to get ready after spending the morning in Inverness having hair and make up done. While waiting for them, I took some shots of the garden and grounds and then headed inside to get some pictures of the final preparations before driving down to St Mary’s church for the ceremony.
After the ceremony everyone headed back to the hotel for cocktails and canapés before being seated for the meal with Louise and John being piped through by Spud the piper. The speeches were fun filled and maybe a little emotional at times as it was clear that John is greatly missed by his family in Ireland now he has settled in the Highlands.
The fun continued well into the night with entertainment performed by local band, Rhythmnreel. Congratulations to you both and thank you for choosing me to photograph and share what was a very happy day.
