Last weekend I was delighted to be back at Achnagairn House for the wedding of Ruth and Iain who had travelled up from London with family and friends to be married in this beautiful highland venue. Although they have lived in the south for most of their lives, both families have connections with the north of Scotland, particularly the village of Nairn, this was the hometown of Ruth’s parents before they moved south, and coincidentally, where Iain and his family had lived for a few years when he was a young boy. This made choosing to marry in the Highlands all the more special for both of them.
Everyone enjoyed lovely weather all day with lots of sun in the morning, which was only interrupted by the odd cloudy spell, and thankfully we managed to escape the rain that was forecast.
The house was filled with flowers that were expertly styled and arranged by Angela Stewart Creative. Catering was organised by Wilde Thyme Catering, videography by Ross at Thistle Video, pipes by Spud the Piper and the evening entertainment was preformed by Callanish.
